in an extension of 25,303.98 km of which: 5,148.28 km correspond to free highways; 5,148.28 km are from the Federal net and 3,095.46 km. of the State net; toll roads 566.10 km; 5,433.70 km. of rural roads and 14,155.90 of gaps. Its main communication roads link the entity with the interior of Jalisco, with Mexico City and with the industrial main centers, such as Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Saltillo and Torreón, Coahuila; Querétaro; León and Salamanca, Guanajuato; San Luis Potosí and the Northwest, and the Center and South of the country. The Capital of the State has an efficient road net, mainly in the city entrance and exit roads, as well as quick roads that cross it.

In an outstanding way, the Guadalajara-Nogales higHway, that allows the communication with the states of the North of the country, the Ports of Pacific and the border with the United States of North America.
The Barra de Navidad highway communicates the South area of the State, and it serves as a link to Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo. This port has communication through the freeway Guadalajara- Ciudad Guzman-Colima.
Toward the Center of the country the State is connected by the Guadalajara-Mexico highway, interconnecting the South and Southeast of the country; besides the highways of Guadalajara-Chapala-Jocotepec and La Barca - Ocotlan, this last communicate to the Industrial Corridor of El Salto
Toward the Northwest of the country the communication is given through the Guadalajara-Zacatecas-Saltillo highway, where exist a communication with the central fborder with the United States of North America. The highway León- Lagos de Moreno-Aguascalientes and the continuation of the Lagos de Moreno - San Luís Potosí highway. As well as the Guadalajara-Colotlán highway, with the diversions to San Martin of Boloños and Mezquitic, that integrates the North region with the rest of the State. |
